At Girls on the Run, we know that empowerment goes beyond self-confidence and resilience; it culminates in contribution. It’s the final building block—the point where everything we teach in our nationally accredited curriculum comes full circle, right to the finish line. This year, we witnessed countless moments where purpose met action, as our participants, coaches, families, SoleMates, donors, sponsors, and supporters came together to make meaningful contributions that strengthened our community.
From the youngest program participant learning the value of kindness during her team’s Community Impact Project in Lesson 18 to the most tenured volunteer coach who poured their heart into this program, 2024 has been a testament to the power of connection and giving back. It’s been a year of bold strides—physically, emotionally, and communally.
Together, we celebrated milestones: 20 years of Girls on the Run Greater Cincinnati, more than 35,000 girls served to-date, new partnerships with businesses like The Bridge Adaptive, transformative events like the Sneaker Soiree and our bi-annual 5Ks, and emerging opportunities to grow. Our community rallied in ways that inspired us all, proving that when we connect with purpose, we can leave a lasting impact on the world around us.
As we reflect on this year, we look forward with gratitude. The spirit of contribution—so deeply embedded in every practice, every 5K, and every girl—reminds us that we are not just building strong, confident girls; we are building future leaders, change-makers, and compassionate citizens.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we are a community that thrives—and one that inspires others to do the same. See you in 2025!
